Whats In My Makeup Bag
Some of my favorite posts or articles ever are the What's In Your Purse and What's In Your Makeup Bag types, so I thought I should do one! Makeup is a big hobby of mine so I am always looking for new, fun finds.
Even though I love my makeup desk, I am a snooze button abuser so I usually end up doing my makeup in the car. I often get stopped in some morning traffic and only do face makeup - don't worry, I am not being a distracted driver (no texting and driving!) then finish my face in the car at work. Someday I plan on being responsible and getting up right when my alarm goes off...someday.
Makeup bags seem to be a revolving door in my life. My current makeup bag has stuck with me for a while now! I love that it is a train case and has slots for makeup brushes. Like I have mentioned before, I am an MZ Wallace lover, and when they had a flash sale, I got this case for $20! Steal of the century!
As you know from my original makeup post, I always start with my face makeup first. Currently in my bag is the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer, Revlon PhotoReady concealer, Benefit Erase Paste, Benefit Hello Flawless, Laura Gellar Balance and Brighten, and of course my favorite L'Oreal True Match foundation. I wish I didn't have to, but I do use foundation almost daily to smooth my complexion. Plus I think my subconscious thinks I am a secret movie star and want to look the part.
I am obsessed with Sigma brushes and could not live without the F50 for liquid foundation, F80 for powder, and P80 for concealer/blending. I also do love the F55 to help with more exact blending. And yes, I realize my brushes are filthy! Definitely washing them this weekend.
I then move onto cheeks. I love love love the Bobbi Brown Medium Bronzer, but like I've said before, it is pricey! So I am always looking for cheaper bronzers to use on a daily basis. Again, Rimmel bronzer is ok, but probably won't buy again. I always forget about my Sephora blush/bronzer because it is thin and slips in one of the sides of my bag, but it is a good one! I also adore my Bobbi Brown bronzer brush! If you are at the point of needing an investment bronzer brush, you must get this one.
I love the Nars Orgasm blush (mine is cracked but I keep it in a plastic baggy - too precious to toss!), Bobbi Brown Pale Pink, and for a super cheap yet amazing blush - ELF Pink Passion. I have had my Jane Iredale blush brush for easily seven years and it is still doing great!
Last but not least, brows and eyes! Because of my brow obsession (have you gone to Kelly at Brogan Skinworks yet?), I always fill in my brows with the Anastasia pencil. Then I use the NYX eyeshadow base before shadow (ALWAYS! What is the point of putting on eyeshadow if it is going to come right off?). Then I use my Sigma E50 for a lighter color, and my Jane Iredale crease blending brush for a darker color. My Bobbi Brown palette are usually the only shadows I use daily. I also love the Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Ink eyeliner pot. Works great with their Ultra Thin liner brush! There are many other items seen here that I use here and there, but not necessarily everyday.
After I put the last set away, the Nars sharpener appeared! It is so important it deserves it's own picture. Only $6 and works great with the Brow Duality and any regular makeup pencils. Let's hear it for the sharpener!
So that is it! I have other makeup in the drawer of my makeup desk that I don't use on a daily basis but might break out on the weekends or special occasions.
So tell me, what's in your makeup bag?
