Fashion Friday!
Phew! I have been in a fashion rut! I'm not sure if it is the never-ending Sprinter (Spring/Winter), lack of new clothing items, or just laziness in general, but I need to get my act together! Plus, now my beloved Lindsey is in Iowa and we won't be able to get together for some FF posts for a few weeks (the horror!)!
To attempt and get myself out of this rut, I spent a good amount of time last night making some outfits. When I did this in February I absolutely loved it! It is just the preparation that takes time, planning and effort (like everything in life). I really tried to dig deep in my closet and pull out some gems I haven't worn in a while, so I apologize that quite a few items I can't remember where they are from! Since I have no idea what will happen with the weather, not sure what will or will not get worn.
I also needed to get my fashion act together because I am out of town the next three weekends! Nate will hold the fort down with the little girls. I have some work, some play, and a baby shower! Packing takes me some time, so hopefully I can just grab a few of these pre-styled outfits and be ready to go. I will post an update with what gets worn!
I purchased this dress on sale at Target and have been dying to wear it, but the weather has just been a little too chilly! If it warms up about 10 degrees it will be perfect because it has long sleeves. Come on sun!
Dress: Target, Sandals: Target, Necklace: gift from Mom in Key West
Necklace: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: Alloy
I still love this Target scarf, but at times struggle with exact outfits to wear it with! This yellow and white striped shirt works - I always love stripes on stripes! Again, can't remember where I got the top or jeans.
Scarf: Target, Belt: Urban Outfitters
Cardigan: Forever 21, Tank: Target, Skirt: Target, Necklace: Forever 21
These ankle pants from Target actually come to my shins, but I think they are too cute! They are super tight on my non-existent calves, but fit well everywhere else. I love them because they work to dress up or down!
Blazer: Forever 21, Tank: Francesca's, Pants: Target, Belt: Banana Republic
Again, love me some stripes, and when I saw the sale tanks at Old Navy a few months ago I had to scoop a couple up! I dress up my tank tops often with cardigans, work pants, or wear them casually with jeans.
Cardigan: NY&Co, Tank: Old Navy: Necklace: NY&Co, Pants: NY&Co, Belt: Banana Republic
I love peplum tops, and have been wanting to figure out a way to make this one a bit less nighttime and doable for during the day.
Top: NY&Co, Skirt: Limited
Is anyone else in a fashion rut? What tricks do you have to get out of it?
Happy Friday!
